Tahir Shah

Tahir Shah is the Founder of Moti Roti, a Pakistani ‘soul kitchen’ with a local cult following in Dubai for their roti-style burritos. After 12 years of working for Nokia he decided to drop out of corporate life and set out on a mission to make Pakistani food modern, healthy and accessible to outsiders. Starting out at local markets, he helped pioneer the food truck movement in Dubai with Moti Roti. Unfortunately, Moti Roti had to close in 2017, but has recently found new life by running as a delivery-only concept through dark kitchens in Dubai. After Moti Roti had closed, Shah joined with Careem who had invested into food delivery and now leads their expansion of Careem NOW in Riyadh, KSA. Moti Roti has been nominated in the past for several industry awards.
