Mahmoud Bartawi

UAE National Mahmoud Bartawi is a corporate banker and entrepreneur, specialising in the business development and management of Under500, a Dubai-based healthy café concept. Bartawi holds a Business Degree from the American University of Sharjah and a Masters in International Business from the University of Wollongong in Dubai. Observing a gap in the market for nutritious food concepts that are affordable and offer taste, Bartawi set out to develop a business around his belief of healthy living and eating. Since the inception of Under500 in 2016, the company has now expanded to many restaurants across popular areas of Dubai, with plans for future expansion. Bartawi believes in contributing to the UAE’s 2021 Vision, through his business that will help to facilitate change, and is keen to see obesity rates lowered, life expectancy increased and the happiness factor go up. His vision for Under500 is to develop it commercially and financially into the top three healthy food brands in the region.
